PETS was introduced with a pilot scheme for dogs
and cats from western Europe on 28 February 2000. The scheme was
extended to certain rabies-free islands on 31 January 2001.
Please make sure you visit the Official
DEFRA website. This site clearly presents the procedure for
importing dogs and cats into the UK under the Pet
Travel Scheme. Why is the Pet Travel Scheme & Airpets the
best combination?
Animals travelling to the UK under the Pet Travel Scheme may only
fly on approved airlines. However pets consigned
to Airpets Oceanic may enter the UK on most national airlines.
Airpets can arrange
onward transport for your pet by road to any UK residence and
by air to destinations in the Channel Islands, Scotland, N. Ireland
and Irish Republic.
Airpets and Willowlsea Farm Kennels currently
receive pets travelling from Europe, Australia, New Zealand, Cyprus & Japan on almost a daily basis..
Remember...
Owners whose pets fail to fully comply with the UK Pet Travel Scheme import regulations may complete the remaining period in our quarantine kennels at Willowlsea Farm, Heathrow.
